Position Overview:

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling security trailers and other security related products.

Position Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
• Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw and drill gun.
• Perform soldering, wire termination and wire crimping.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
• Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Use problem-solving and decision-making skills to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Additional tasks as deemed necessary by leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Basic reading skills, and ability to follow directions.
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to problem solve/think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
• Use hand tools correctly and properly assemble products.
• Have a good basic understanding of electrical circuitry and the use of volt meters and testing tools to diagnose issues.

Physical Responsibilities:

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Regularly use manual dexterity to put pieces together.
