Responsibilities

  • Assemble hydraulic manifolds, hydraulic motors and pumps.
  • Set hydraulic valves and flush reservoirs as required.
  • Test assembled components when applicable.
  • Use hand and power tools and operate forklift safely.
  • Read work instructions and work to printed specs.
  • Handle other projects as assigned by management.

The Mechanical Assembler’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assembly of hydraulic manifolds, hydraulic motors and hydraulic pumps as well as setting hydraulic valves and flushing hydraulic reservoirs. The Assembler will also be required to test some of the items they assemble. This position requires a basic knowledge of work instructions and schematic drawings. Other responsibilities may be assigned based on workload and the candidate’s abilities.

Essential Job Functions And Performance Standards
  • Assembly of hydraulic tanks and manifolds
  • Testing of assembled hydraulic tanks and manifolds
  • Assembly of various Fluid Power Components, Electrical Components, and Mechanical Components
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Forklift operation
  • Operation of hydraulic test equipment
  • Other responsibilities and/or projects as assigned by management

Work Environment:

Climate controlled shop environment

Requirements

Education: High School Degree, GED or Equivalent

Ongoing willingness to continue educational learning/training

Licenses/Certificates: None

Skills

Experience working with power tools and hand tools

Mechanical aptitude a must

Logical problem-solving ability

Strong interpersonal skills and both written and oral

Motivated self-starter with the ability to organize, prioritize, and complete work assignments as assigned.

Sound judgement and decision-making ability

Maintains professional demeanor at all times

Team player who works effectively with a wide range of people.

Able to read and understand schematic drawings and prints to build to print.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, and feel controls, reach, climb stairs, stoop, crouch, talk, listen and have vision capabilities that enable reading and viewing a computer screen. The employee may occasionally lift to 55lbs.
