Job summary

IMS People is seeking a Mechanical Repair Assembler in Carrollton, TX for a contract-to-hire role. You will assemble electro-mechanical subassemblies to specification and inspect complex components, using hand and power tools.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 0–1 year mechanical experience, ability to read diagrams and follow instructions, basic computer skills, and the stamina to stand for long periods while lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 years experience, training is provided.
• A strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools.
• Ability to stand for long periods, safely lift up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Basic computer skills – email, work instructions.
• Attention to detail.
• Good command of English language, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Read, comprehend, interpret & follow basic work instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, & other written instructions. Follow established procedures to accurately assemble products
• Assembles components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies
• Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools
• Working with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts
• Identify product defects and report on to appropriate personnel
• Keep accurate records/logs etc.
• Handling of ESD sensitive materials and equipment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Title: Mechanical Repair Assembler

Type of Role: Contract to Hire

Shift / Hours: 1st(6:00AM to 2:30PM)/ 2nd Shift (2:00PM to 10:30PM)

Location: Carrollton, TX

Hourly Range: $16- $18

Job Purpose:
