KION North America Corporation is seeking Mechanical Assemblers in Summerville, SC. The role focuses on assembling forklifts, pallet trucks, and masts in a climate-controlled production area.

The position runs Monday through Thursday, 6am–4:30pm with overtime on Fridays and Saturdays, and is temp-to-perm after 3 months. Starting pay is $20.00/hr as a temp, $21.00/hr once converted, with increases every 6 months.

Formación

• Assemble forklifts, pallet trucks or masts using drawings or schematics.
• BASIC ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with hand and power tools; crane/forklift operation experience is a plus.
• Must have basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.
• Flexible hours with overtime on short notice; ability to stand all shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Assemble forklifts, pallet trucks and/or masts in a climate controlled production area. Work 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs 6am - 4:30pm) with some Overtime on short notice on fridays and saturdays. Some mechanical assembly experience required. This position is temp to perm after 3 months. Bonus eligible position! We are currently looking for Mechanical Assemblers to join our team. These are temp to perm positions starting at $20.00/hr. as temps and $21.00/hr. when you are converted. Increases every 6 months! If you are mechanically inclined, love tinkering with cars and have knowledge of tools this might the position for you!! You will be assembling forklifts, pallet trucks or masks. You may also perform mechanical and electrical modifications to trucks in order to satisfy customer requirements.

Tasks and Qualifications:

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assemble forklifts, pallet trucks or masts using engineering drawings, schematics or verbal direction
  • Operate crane to move larger parts or equipment
  • Perform functional tests and inspections to ensure product quality prior to delivery to the final inspection area
  • Assemble sub-assemblies and wiring harnesses
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work station at all times
• Qualifications:
  • Automobile or truck mechanic experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Familiar with hand and power tools
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Attention to detail and quality a must
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime on short notice
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a crane and forklift safely
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
