Swing shift differential

Job summary

Sosa BPO is seeking an assembler for a swing shift (Mon-Fri, 2:30 pm–11:00 pm) with a 5% shift differential. The role requires 2+ years in a high-volume assembly environment, ability to read MPIs in English, and capability to hand solder and install components per blueprints.

Responsibilities include following manufacturing process instructions, performing wiring and cable harnessing, and making minor setups while maintaining tolerances. OT and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a high-volume assembly environment.
• Must read, understand, and follow manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) in English.
• Ability to assemble products or sub-assemblies per verbal/written instructions or diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing per methods.
• Setups and adjustments while maintaining tolerances per blueprint specs.
• Adhere to company policies and use established procedures for routine work.
• Read and follow manufacturing process instructions in English.
• OT and weekend work as required; 40 hours/week minimum.

Pay Rate: $22.50/hour

Job Purpose:

Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• 1) Must apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
• 2) Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practices.
• 3) Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
• 4) Must display the ability to read, understand and follow manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) in English.
• 5) Must have a minimum of 2+ yrs. experience in a high volume Assembly manufacturing environment.

Education and Experience:

• 1) Must be available for OT and weekend work as required in addition to minimum 40 hr. /wk.
• 2) Must be able to read and understand English.
• 3) Must have the ability to assemble products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
• 4) Must be able to properly use manufacturing equipment.
