Job summary

Tecan is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Morgan Hill, CA for a day shift. You will build mechanical assemblies, follow strict processes, and work with cross-functional teams to meet quality goals in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires basic hand tool experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Applicants should be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in mechanical assembly or use of basic hand tools.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components with accuracy following established processes.
  • Adhere to vPoke® principles and quality standards.
  • Inspect, handle, and install components with precision.
  • Cross-train to support multiple functions on the production floor.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to meet output and quality targets.
  • Follow safety, quality, and company compliance standards.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and document work practices.

How Will You Make an Impact?
  • Build mechanical assemblies with strict adherence to established processes and vPoke® principles
  • Ensure components are properly handled, inspected, and installed with precision
  • Cross-train to support multiple functions across the mechanical production floor and other departments
  • Partner with production supervisors and team members to meet output and quality targets
  • Follow all safety, quality, and company compliance standards
  • Support process improvement initiatives and team-based projects
  • Maintain accurate work practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Basic mechanical assembly skills; prior experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures
