Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembler to join our Lakeville, MN team. This contract-to-hire role involves building large assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and cranes when required, with emphasis on reading blueprints and fabrication steps.

Based in Lakeville, MN, the position offers on-site employment with a pathway to direct hire, plus benefits typical of Aerotek’s offerings. You will gain exposure to a variety of fabrication tasks in a structured shop setting.

Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

The assembler will be based in Northfield/Lakeville, working with hand tools, large impacts, and other power tools to build plenums, large frames, and overall large structures and equipment. Crane experience is a plus but not required, as the role involves working with cranes.

Responsibilities

• Build large products using hand tools, impacts, and power tools.
• Work with cranes to assemble plenums, frames, and structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints to assemble large components for exhaust systems.
• Assist with fabrication tasks such as operating a brake press, shear, and roller.
• Perform a variety of tasks throughout the shop to facilitate learning and growth.

Essential Skills

• Experience with mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Understanding of fabrication techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with industrial, sub, and machine assembly.
• Familiarity with schematic reading.
• Comfortable using a tape measure.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeville, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
