Job summary

TAD PGS, Inc. is seeking a cable assembly technician in Huntsville, AL for a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 4:00pm-12:30am). The role requires building, testing, and repairing cable assemblies, interpreting electrical drawings, and collaborating with engineers to resolve assembly challenges.

Onsite work with security clearance eligibility is required. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of cable assembly experience, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certifications, and proficiency with crimpers and wire

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in cable assembly and/or electrical/mechanical assembly.
• Proficiency with cable assembly tools and equipment, including crimpers and wire strippers.
• Current IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
• Current J-STD-001 certification.

Responsibilities

• Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies.
• Use cable manufacturing tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering irons.
• Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and technicians to identify assembly challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Perform basic troubleshooting to diagnose signal and connectivity issues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and technicians to identify assembly challenges and develop effective solutions.
