Job summary

RTX in Forest, MS is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for 1st shift on-site. You will assemble electromechanical assemblies, use hand tools, read specs, and maintain quality standards.

Must have HS diploma or GED, 1 year experience, and the ability to obtain DoD secret clearance. U.S. citizenship required. Benefits and safety training are provided according to company policy.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience reading and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and assembly instructions, and procedure manuals.

The Mechanical Assembler performs routine assembly operations and processes. This position requires use of hand tools. The Production Assembler ensures that work is accomplished with high quality, in a timely fashion and is compliant with all company, city, state and federal regulations.

What You Will Do:

• Assemble and repair wide range or electromechanical assemblies using standard manufacturing and repair techniques.
• Identify correct parts, components, wires, and other materials related to various assemblies.
• Read and interpret technical data such as component maintenance manuals, assembly instructions, and engineering prints.
• Communicate work status to team members and support staff (e.g., shift pass down, engineering, maintenance).
• Utilize computer skills for office software applications to include documentation actions associated with assembling or repair production hardware.
• Be responsible for quality product standards to minimize defect.
• Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications as required.
• Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Physical ability to lift equipment and work in various environments, at least 15 lbs.
• This is a 1st shift, onsite position.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Experience reading and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and assembly instructions, and procedure manuals, etc.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Manufacturing experience.
• The ability to successfully complete training modules associated with job grade.

The salary range for this role is $16-$20/hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
