Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Fairfield, OH, onsite, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (40 hours/week) with potential overtime. You will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and inspect custom turbine support equipment and mechanical systems per engineering drawings, BOMs, and quality standards.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to interpret technical documentation, and experience with precision measuring instruments and assembly tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 certified environments.
• Experience with electromechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical systems using drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Read blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Install bearings, shafts, tubing, hydraulic/pneumatic components, and related hardware.
• Perform pipe threading, tube flaring, and swaging.
• Complete precision fitting, alignment, and adjustment of assemblies.
• Use hand/power tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
• Verify parts/materials prior to assembly and perform inspections/testing.
• Identify nonconforming materials or assembly issues and report them.
• Document assembly/testing activities accurately.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Quality/Manufacturing to improve processes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.
• Assist with packaging and shipment preparation as needed.

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join an industrial machinery manufacturer in Fairfield, OH.

This is position is onsite Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (40 hours/week), with some overtime as needed.

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and inspecting custom turbine support equipment and mechanical systems in accordance with engineering drawings, bills of material (BOMs), work instructions, and quality standards.

This position requires a high level of mechanical aptitude, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and experience using precision measuring instruments and assembly tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical systems using engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Install and assemble bearings, shafts, tubing, hydraulic/pneumatic components, and related hardware.
• Perform pipe threading, tube flaring, and swaging.
• Complete precision fitting, alignment, and adjustment of assemblies.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.

This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity intended for candidates interested in long‑term employment. The hourly pay ranges from $22/hr - $26/hr.

Exact compensation may vary and will be based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working within an ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 certified environment.
• Experience with electromechanical assemblies.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience with gas turbines, power generation, and/or rotating equipment.
• Forklift and/or overhead crane experience.
• Electrical background with the ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
