Job summary

Serac builds high-precision filling, capping & packaging machinery for customers worldwide, and we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to bring these machines to life in the Chicago area. You will assemble from blueprints, install pneumatic systems, troubleshoot with engineering, and help maintain quality documentation while reporting defects and safety concerns.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience with packaging or industrial machinery, proficiency with power, hand, pneumatic

Qualifications

• 3–5 years assembling or troubleshooting packaging or industrial machinery.
• Proficient with power, hand, pneumatic and fabrication tools.
• Reads blueprints and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and open to occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Assemble from blueprints, drawings & BOMs; fabricate/modify basic parts.
• Install pneumatic systems; perform setup, timing & dynamic testing.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with engineering.
