Job summary

Kelly Services in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking a Level 2- Mechanical Technician to support state-of-the-art 12” silicon wafer production. This role includes operating and maintaining equipment in a cleanroom, performing diagnostics and light repairs, and using computers for preventative maintenance.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical background with experience using torque wrenches, voltmeters, and valves, strong math and problem-solving skills, and a readiness for long shifts in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Have a mechanical background and understand the uses for torque-wrenches, volt meters, ball valves, and capacitors.
• Have good math, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in general maintenance and/or construction is a plus.
• Military, automotive repair/mechanic, or electrician experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, operating, and performing diagnostics and/or light repairs on machinery and product lines that process state-of-the-art 12” silicon wafers.
• Utilizing computers frequently to perform preventative maintenance.
• Proactively identify defects in the manufacturing line and/or product.
• Operating in a cleanroom environment; moving and standing for long periods.

Level 2- Mechanical Technician

Rio Rancho, NM 87124

Day shift payrate- $18/hr
Night shift payrate- $19/hr

Shifts include

• SHIFT 4 – 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (Sun, Mon, Tues, and every other Sat)


• SHIFT 5 – 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM (Sun, Mon, Tues, and every other Weds)


• SHIFT 6 – 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (Weds, Thurs, Fri, and every other Sat)


• SHIFT 7 – 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM (Thurs, Fri, Sat, and every other Weds)

What’s a typical day as a Mechanical Technician?

• Maintaining, operating, and performing diagnostics and/or light repairs on machinery and product lines that process state-of-the-art 12” silicon wafers


• Utilizing computers frequently to perform preventative maintenance


• Proactively identify defects in the manufacturing line and/or product


• Operating in a cleanroom environment; moving and standing for long periods


• Filter and chemical changes and inventory tracking
