Job summary

100Hires, Inc. seeks a skilled Mechanic and Welder to support production upfitting of utility trucks and equipment, and to service equipment on the road.

You will diagnose, repair, and rebuild chassis, powertrains, emissions, PTO hydraulics, and complex electrical systems, with welding duties for the production upfit team. Ideal candidates hold a valid driver's license (CDL a plus) and have formal mechanical or welding training, strong safety focus, and hands-on shop experience.

• Training and experience as a Mechanic or Welder
• High mechanical aptitude and a strong commitment to shop safety and compliance

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Use advanced diagnostic software and tools to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic faults.
• Chassis & Powertrain Repair: Inspect, repair, and rebuild chassis components, steering, suspension, and braking systems.
• Emissions Systems: Service and repair emissions components, with focus on EGR systems, coolers, and valves.
• PTO & Hydraulics: Troubleshoot, install, and repair PTO gearboxes and integrated hydraulic systems.
• Electrical Systems: Read schematics to diagnose/repair 12V/24V circuits, wiring, charging systems, and ECUs.
• Welding for Production Upfit dept.
