Job summary

Outfront Media in Pico Rivera, CA seeks a skilled equipment technician to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues across trucks, cranes, forklifts, and heavy machinery. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect systems, and carry out repairs using a wide range of tools.

The role demands strong communication, ability to create clear work orders, and adherence to safety policies. CDL is a plus; owning tools up to 1¼ inches helps you hit the ground running.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • HS diploma preferred

  • Class B or Class A CDL is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose electrical problems and perform mechanical repairs and maintenance to equipment including pickups, cranes, forklifts and heavy construction gear
  • Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysis
  • Perform routine brake inspections/adjustments on commercial vehicles per Federal DOT requirements
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, electronics, and other components
  • Remove components for repair or replacement (injectors, starters, water pumps, radiators, brakes, etc.)
  • Create work orders with legible, accurate information for repairs and services
  • Coordinate with location supervisor and review Pre-Trip inspections to prioritize work
  • Input daily repair reports into software tracking program
  • Communicate with drivers and plant managers to ensure adherence to maintenance policies
  • Use hand and power tools, cutting torches, welding equipment
  • Order parts from vendors and drive company truck to pick up parts as needed
  • Operate fixed and mobile equipment as necessary
  • May assist in maintenance of fixed equipment
  • Follow OUTFRONT and OSH A safety rules at all times
  • Wear proper safety equipment on plant grounds
  • Meet or exceed safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

  • Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysis
  • Perform routine brake inspections/adjustments on commercial vehicles following Federal DOT requirements
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, electronics, and other components

  • Adhere to all OUTFRONT and O.S.H.A. rules and regulations at all times
  • Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds

Working Conditions

Regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors Must wear protective equipment while at locations

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree Exerting 50 – 100 pounds of force occasionally Exerting 25 – 50 pounds of force frequently Exerting 10 – 20 pounds of force continually Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls

Salary

The salary range for this role is $26-$31/per hour. Compensation is determined during our interview process by assessing a candidate’s experience and skills relative to internal peers and market benchmarks evaluated for the scope and responsibilities of the position, and collective bargaining agreement terms.
