Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Springfield, Illinois.

Position Description: Support our truck fleet with vehicle maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics. Requires experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance and component inspections.

Benefits include: Hourly pay of $29.00, certification bonuses, quarterly bonuses, a consistent schedule (Monday–Friday, weekends off), paid training, comprehensive health benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and recognition programs.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification preferred; basic tools required; 2+ years of experience in mechanical repair; valid CDL Class A preferred, with the ability to obtain within 6 months; passing Ryder’s background, drug, physical, and road tests.

Responsibilities include: Vehicle maintenance and repair, diagnostics, component replacements, customer interaction, compliance with safety and DOT regulations, and supporting operations as needed.
