D&D Auto in Wetumpka, AL seeks a skilled Automotive / Light Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a broad range of passenger and light-duty diesel vehicles. You will work in a modern shop with multiple lifts and advanced diagnostics, earning based on a competitive flat-rate pay structure and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as automotive technician with light-duty diesel exposure is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills using advanced scanners.
• Own primary roll-cart/toolbox and standard technician tools.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Demonstrates work ethic, attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic, repair, and maintenance on passenger gas vehicles and light-duty diesel trucks.
• Carry out steering, suspension, and wheel alignment work using the flush-mount rack.
• Complete DVIs via shop software to clearly communicate vehicle health to advisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in your bay.
• Collaborate with service advisors and team to ensure accurate, timely repairs.

In 2017, we expanded our facility to better serve our community, adding top-tier equipment and extending our services to include comprehensive light-duty diesel repair alongside general domestic and import automotive service. • Five 2-post lifts
• One 4-post lift

We are currently bringing on a second service advisor to keep the bays full, and we are looking for two skilled Technicians to join our crew.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on a wide variety of passenger gas vehicles and light-duty diesel trucks.
• Execute precise steering, suspension, and wheel alignment work utilizing our flush-mount alignment rack.
• Complete thorough digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) through our shop management software to accurately communicate vehicle health to our advising team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in your assigned bay.
• Collaborate closely with service advisors and fellow team members to ensure efficient turn times and absolute accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an automotive technician (experience with light-duty diesel platforms like Powerstroke, Cummins, or Duramax is a major plus).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills using advanced electrical and computer diagnostic scanners.
• Must own your own primary roll-cart/toolbox and standard technician tools.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a pride-in-workmanship mindset.
