Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, is seeking a Supervisor, Reconditioning Service to oversee daily vehicle reconditioning operations. You’ll assist the shop manager in guiding the team and ensuring efficient, high-quality output at the Cox location in Dallas.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years of relevant experience in vehicle reconditioning or related field.
• Competent supervisory and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the inspection of vehicles.
• Managing the workflow and activities of the shop employees to ensure timely completion.
• Ensuring employees have proper equipment and training.
• Communicating and resolving reconditioning goals, results, and problems with the operations manager.
• Assisting manager in monitoring and evaluating employee performance and conducting appraisals.
• Using management tools to track production and post charges.
• Leading by example and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.
• Monitoring and controlling the use of supplies, materials, and equipment for the recon shop.
• Enforcing all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.

Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $61,100.00 - $91,700.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

What You’ll Do

Who You Are

You’re passionate about leadership and are comfortable delegating responsibility and planning projects. But most of all, you’ve got a love of cars, from the Alpha-Romeo to the Zenos. Here are some of the qualifications that brought you here:

Minimum:

• HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years of relevant experience in a related field (vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical and/or body shop experience); or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

• Competent supervisory and excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.

• Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.

Preferred:

• Excellent people, teamwork, and customer service skills.

• Strong communication and interaction skills.

• A working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations is preferred.
