Job summary

Moffitt Services, a Texas-based fuel and lubricants distributor, is seeking a Parts Assistant to support fleet operations. The role involves receiving parts, updating fleet software, and assisting in maintaining an organized parts storage area and shop.

Ideal candidates will have a clean background, be 21+, and able to work a rotating schedule including weekends/holidays. Local and regional travel may be required to vendors and disaster response is a plus.

Qualifications

• Background check must be clean; no felonies.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• On-call and rotating schedule may be required.
• Willing to work a flexible/additional shift as needed.
• Ability to take instruction and complete tasks accordingly.
• Must be 21 years or older and able to work unsupervised.
• Team-oriented and reliable under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receive delivered parts and enter them into fleet software.
• Drive to vendor locations to pick up parts as needed.
• Maintain inventory and update fleet software.
• Track returns and ensure credits are issued.
• Order parts for inventory per Fleet Manager guidance.
• Keep storage area clean and inventory accurate daily.
• Assist Lead Mechanic and Fleet Manager with shop cleaning.

Moffitt Services is seeking a Parts Assistant to support our fleet operations. The Parts Assistant will receive, manage, and organize parts inventory, update fleet software, handle vendor pickups and returns, and assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized parts storage area and mechanic shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive delivered parts from vendor enter them into fleet software
• Drive to vendor locations to pick up parts as needed
• Maintain physical parts inventory and update fleet software accordingly
• Track returned parts and core returns to ensure credits are issued
• Order parts for inventory as directed by the Fleet Manager
• Keep parts storage area clean, organized and verify inventory accuracy daily
• Assist Lead Mechanic and Fleet Manager with shop cleaning as needed
