Job summary
Nestlé USA is hiring a Maintenance Technician at our Medford manufacturing facility to keep high-speed packaging equipment running and to support production of familiar household pizza brands. The role requires troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and electrical/mechanical work.
Starting pay is $32.90 per hour with shift differentials, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, quarterly incentives, and comprehensive Nestlé benefits after 30 days, plus three weeks of paid time off in year one and 11 holidays.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2-year technical degree in maintenance or related field or Journeyman preferred.
- 3 years' experience as Industrial Maintenance Mechanic OR 2-year degree with experience.
- Experience with diagnostic troubleshooting and component replacement.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, disassemble and troubleshoot complex packaging machinery and other equipment.
- Read blueprints and diagrams to diagnose problems and verify operation.
- Perform scheduled PMs and work orders in SAP CMMS.
- Install new equipment as necessary.
- Lead root cause analyses and TPM-driven improvements.

- Schedule:
- 2nd shift: 2PM to 10PM (Monday through Friday)
- 3rd shift: 10PM to 6AM (Monday through Friday)
- Starting hourly pay of $32.90/hr
- 2nd shift differential - $1.50/hr
- 3rd shift differential - $3.00/hr

- Maintain, repair, disassemble and troubleshoot complex processes, high speed packaging machinery, and other manufacturing equipment
- Repair and use of material handling equipment including manual pallet jacks, battery operated pallet jacks, stand up and sit-down trucks, scissors lifts, boom type man-lifts, & equipment / component hoists
- Read and interpret blueprints, process and instrumentation diagrams, flow diagrams, and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify components, and verify proper equipment operation
- Layout, plan, measure, and execute tasks to support maintenance efforts
- Utilize power & hand tools properly and safely support work activities
- Execute and electronically report scheduled PMs & work orders in SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) within allocated windows and following written standards to maintain manufacturing equipment reliability
- Installing new equipment as necessary
- Clean tools, parts and equipment after line rebuilds/repairs/maintenance
- Provide technical expertise to train and support production and create an environment of continuous learning
- Actively participate/lead root cause analysis (BDA) and other site continuous improvement initiatives (TPM driven)
- Develop and improve Maintenance plans
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Modify and upgrade manufacturing equipment as required
- Perform strategic preventative maintenance
- Continuous improvement of maintenance systems and practices
- High school Diploma or GED is preferred
- 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field such as Industrial Maintenance or Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance, OR related area of study, OR Journeyman Certification is preferred
- 3 Years of prior experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic OR
- 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field such as Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance or related area of study
- 1 year of prior experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
- Experience must include diagnostic troubleshooting, repairing and replacing defective parts, adjusting machinery, and modifying units to meet proper operating specifications.
