Overview

Mechanic - Light Duty - Denver Metro

Wage: $20-$30

W.W. Clyde & Co. Great Plains is seeking a motivated, full time Light Duty Field Mechanic. Applicant must be self-motivated, reliable, and safety minded to accomplish various service and repair procedures in the Denver Metro area.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years experience on light duty vehicles, tow behind light plants and generators, small engines
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time, work independently with little supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and leadership.
  • Self-motivated, detailed oriented, resourceful and reliable
  • Proficient with computers, tablets and their operating systems
  • CDL Class A or B, or ability to obtain one upon hire with medical card
  • Must have own tooling to complete repairs, minimum tooling list will be provided
  • Clean driving record and background
  • Pass pre and post-employment drug test
  • Travel may be required for short periods of time

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately diagnose, inspect, and repair equipment as directed
  • Remove, repair, and install minor and major components with service truck crane using proper rigging and techniques
  • Read and comprehend troubleshooting steps, electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Follow directions
  • Look up parts
  • Check Microsoft Teams and email regularly, these are the primary forms of communication
  • Maintain service truck, crane and compressor
  • Good record keeping
  • Other assigned duties
  • Ongoing safety training
  • Take advice and guidance from leadership and other mechanics
  • Communicate status of repairs and timelines to field supervisors

Physical requirement:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
  • Work in awkward and uncomfortable positions
  • Stand, reach and bend for long periods of time
