Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking experienced Mechanics in the Chicago area. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles, documenting activities in MV’s Fleet Management System and ensuring a safe, organized work environment.

A high school diploma and 2–3 years of apprentice-level automotive/diesel experience are required. Starting pay is $25.50 per hour with competitive benefits, a 40-hour week and OT as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, examines, and investigates vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle systems and components.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of vehicles
• Execute major and minor repairs of defective components.
• Document all activities in MV’s Fleet Management System.
• Maintain work environment in an organized and safe condition.
