Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a Mechanic Level A to join our Kent, WA team. You will diagnose, service, and repair vehicle systems, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance with MV’s Fleet Management System.

The role offers 40 hours weekly, OT as needed, comprehensive medical/vision/dental, a 401K, paid vacation, company-provided uniform, and opportunities for career advancement at a national company.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Combination of at least five (5) years of apprentice-level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics, including high school mechanics courses and/or a regional occupational program.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, examines, and investigates vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle systems and components.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of vehicles.
  • Execute major and minor repairs of defective components.
  • Document all activities in MV's Fleet Management System.
  • Maintain work environment in an organized and safe condition.

Who you are:

As a Mechanic, you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose, service and repair steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical systems, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems. You must be able to work safely, perform part analysis on damaged parts, and assist in inventory control or other duties as necessary.

Starting pay range: $40 - $44.40/hour
