Job summary

Rayonier Advanced Materials is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to support our maintenance team. The role involves selecting, fitting, and installing piping systems, and maintaining related documentation.

Candidates should have five or more years of pipefitting experience and be able to work rotating shifts in varied conditions. Welding proficiency (TIG/SMAW) may be required, with safety, quality, and production targets guiding daily work.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of five years of Pipefitter experience.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Select the appropriate type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment according to specifications.
  • Assemble and install pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron and steel.
  • Modify existing piping systems and machinery per diagrams and procedures.
  • Complete and maintain specification sheets, PM checklists, and other documentation.
  • Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Cut pipes using saws and torches; secure piping with brackets and clamps.
  • Perform duties promoting safety, quality, and production.
  • Demonstrate welding proficiency as part of the role if required.

How you’ll shape the future of the Maintenance Department
  • Select the appropriate type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications.
  • Assemble and install a variety of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron and steel.
  • Modify existing piping systems and machinery as needed using diagrams and plant-accepted procedures.
  • Complete and maintain specification sheets, PM checklists, and other documentation as needed.
  • Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylinders, using hand and power tools.
  • Cut pipe using saws, pipe cutters, cutting torches, pipe-cutting machines, and other appropriate tools.
  • Secure piping with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools.
  • Perform assigned duties in a manner that promotes safety, quality, and production assurance.
You’ll Be Someone Who Can Bring
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Pipefitter
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in various conditions and temperatures, both indoors and outdoors
  • In addition to demonstrating proficient pipefitting knowledge and skills, candidates may be required to demonstrate welding proficiency through TIG and SMAW testing on carbon and stainless steel.
