Job summary

UnityPoint Health – Meriter in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Mechanic IV to maintain equipment, systems and facilities to safety standards set by the hospital and regulatory agencies. This role may specialize in one or more systems based on experience and needs.

This is a full-time, day-shift role, 40 hours per week, with a starting compensation of $32.24+ per hour and a comprehensive benefits package through our Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with one year Post High School education in a mechanical field or equivalent training or portion in an apprenticeship program.
• Mechanic 3 or equivalent maintenance mechanic or steamfitter – minimum 4 years.
• Preferred: two years formal education in a mechanical field or equivalent training or experience, plus specialized training in controls, boilers, refrigeration, welding, machining.

The Mechanic IV will maintain equipment, systems and buildings within Meriter facilities and grounds in a safe and comfortable manner for our customers in compliance with standards created by the hospital and outside agencies governing the health care industry. This position may specialize in one or more system consistent with experience and the needs of the facilities.
