Work schedule: 6:30am to 3:00 pm - Monday - Friday

JOB MISSION:

As a Mechanic III you will perform complex duties while adhering to departmental standards and machine maintenance schedules.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assist less experienced support technicians during repair projects; and work closely with team in an effort to cross train them on manufacturing machinery and equipment.

  • Utilize a broad range of hand power tools to perform various duties.

  • Detect and repair improper operation of equipment.

  • Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards. Proactively, identifies safety issues and communicates them.

  • Work closely with seasoned members of your team to become cross-trained on all manufacturing machinery and equipment in all departments

  • Utilizes a working knowledge of all machinery, equipment and processes.

  • Learns about inventory and gains knowledge of maintaining inventory of parts. Responsible for placing parts orders.

  • Lead and track projects coordinating tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Work closely with Mechanic IV on TPM/Lean Initiatives.

  • Proactively seeks feedback and incorporates it into solutions.

  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to TPM/Lean initiatives

  • Supports and trains the Mechanic I and II

  • Crossed trained in more than one department

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Minimum of 5 or more years of shop training or machine operator experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

  • Must have mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical expertise.

  • Ability to lead activities for their individual projects.

  • Must have a general understanding of arc flash hazards.

  • Takes responsibility for seeing that all projects follow the guidelines and requirements established by the team.

  • Demonstrates initiative through drive and focus by leading a team to solve issues despite challenges.

  • Moderate to heavy lifting is required. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Working with programmable controls and robots

  • Knowledge of PLC design, program and installation
