Jekyll Island Authority seeks a Mechanic III to service, diagnose, and repair gasoline and diesel vehicles, trucks, equipment, pumps, generators, and trailers. Responsibilities include welding, bodywork, and painting as needed, with supervision by Fleet Manager.
The role requires extensive maintenance experience, ASE/MACS certifications preferred, CDL Class B or higher encouraged, and strong diagnostic skills. Excellent safety and detail orientation are essential.

Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, the Mechanic III services, diagnoses, and repairs a variety of gasoline and diesel automobiles, light and heavy‑duty trucks, construction equipment, utility vehicles, pumps, compressors, generators, and trailers. Duties also include performing welding, auto body maintenance tasks and painting vehicles as necessary.

Qualifications:
EPA 609, MACS or equivalent.
ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) or ASE Automobile Certifications (A1–A9) are preferred.
