Scope of the Role

The Mechanical Technician II is expected to operate at a high competency level, performing field service diagnostics, repairs, programming, and design support as required by engineering. Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical diagnostics, rigging, and mechanical repairs, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Essential Functions

1. Ensure manufacturing, quality, and safety standards are met.
2. Work from various reports, manuals, schematics, and instructions to diagnose and repair units.
3. Identify material requirements, rebuild, and test mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic units.
4. Analyze operational malfunctions, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions, including customer visits.
5. Set up tests for electrical components and troubleshoot wiring issues.
6. Operate equipment and machine tools, and assist with planning and training activities.
7. Maintain qualifications and certifications as required, including EVT, AC, and CDL.
8. Participate in continuous improvement activities, including LEAN initiatives.

Additional Duties and Tools

Assist with various operations as needed. Use a range of tools including hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment, and heavy machinery.
