Pharmavite is seeking an experienced maintenance technician in New Albany, OH, onsite. You will set up production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and lubricate systems.

The role requires troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, with opportunities to train operators on basic skills. Qualified candidates have at least three years in maintenance/manufacturing, with knowledge of industrial, electrical, and ERP systems (JDE preferred).

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience in maintenance/manufacturing environments.

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing a variety of skilled mechanic work to set up production equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and lubrication of equipment. This is an intermediate level of the job family, and incumbents are expected to perform any or all duties independently. This includes troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities:

• o Uses hand tools, portable power tools, machine tools, electrical/diagnostic equipment, fabricating equipment, and material handling equipment to make repairs to facilities and equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyor belts, fans, etc; examines equipment to diagnoses problems; disassembles machines and repairs/replaces broken parts; constructs new parts; adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
• o Performs routine preventive maintenance on mechanical and/or electrical equipment such as making regular inspections and lubricating moving parts. Able to perform a wide variety of maintenance task across operations.
• o Completes production run set-ups and changeovers on Manufacturing/Packaging equipment as scheduled. Involved in training Equipment Operators on basic trouble shooting skills.
• o Develops and maintains some knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment used by Pharmavite; reviews maintenance manuals when troubleshooting a problem or to learn how to repair equipment.
• o Identifies needed parts and orders them, within approval limits, as necessary.
• o Contacts vendors and other resources to investigate the repair of production machinery.
• o Uses computerized maintenance management system to access information.
• o Involved in Continuous Improvement teams and participates in project activities. Strong problem-solving skills directed at preventive programs to develop solutions to manufacturing problems.
• o Performs duties in compliance with standard operating and safety procedures.
• o Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

A High School Diploma or its equivalent is required.

Certification:

Technical certification preferred.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of three years of combined training and experience in similar positions in Maintenance and Manufacturing environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• o Skills that include proficient knowledge of at least one of three mechanical and fabrication skills as defined under the mechanic skills matrix.
• o Demonstrated knowledge of industrial, electrical, and administrative skills.
• o Demonstrated knowledge of an enterprise resource planning system. JDE preferred.
• o Working knowledge of Windows Office (i.e. updating spreadsheets)
• o Fluent English skills to read/understand complex maintenance manuals, safety procedures, communicate with supervisors, vendors, and others, and maintain routine records such as materials lists and labor requirements.

Physical Requirements:

Stand/walk and perform physical labor for most of the working shift. Pull, push, squat, etc. to accomplish repairs. Intermittently lift loads of up to 50 pounds.

Environment:

Intermittent exposure to noise levels loud enough to require the use of hearing protection. Warm or cold temperature levels, fumes, vibration, dust, etc., sufficient to cause minor discomfort. Must wear personal protective equipment as required.

Safety:

The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

The salary range for this position is $74,000.00 - $124,000.00.

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law.
