Job summary

Ferrara/KME is seeking an assembler to work on fire trucks and emergency response vehicle components. You will follow schedules, shop orders, and prints to assemble parts, identify basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components, and retrieve parts from staging areas.

You will also operate hand and power tools and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Candidates should have a high school diploma, good math and blueprint reading skills, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop orders, prints and BOMs to determine material needs.
• Identify plumbing, electrical and mechanical components used in assembly.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Review orders; retrieve parts and materials from staging; assist with continuous improvement activities.
• Support manufacturing quality and safety requirements.
