Qualifications

• One plus year of related diesel mechanic or military training.
• Knowledge of welding and torching is helpful but not required.
• Mathematical and mechanical aptitude with attention to detail.
• Related experience repairing semi tractors and trailers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on equipment such as semi-tractors, trailers, and heavy machinery.
• Repair hydraulics, electrical and other mechanical components; troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare and complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records.

Position Summary

The Mechanic will perform inspections and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment such as semi-tractors, trailers, heavy equipment and machinery including brakes, suspensions, electrical, lighting and mechanical.

• Repair hydraulics, electrical and other mechanical components
• Troubleshoot and mechanical diagnosis to identify repair needs
• Prepare and complete required paperwork

Position Qualifications

• One plus year of related diesel mechanic or related military training
• Knowledge of welding and torching helpful, but not necessary
• Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
• Related experience and knowledge of the methods, materials tools and techniques used in repairing semi tractors & trailers
• Strong communication skills, effective communicator
• Proven ability to work alone or in a team setting
• Attention to accuracy and detail
• Demonstrated safety consciousness
• Relevant Military experience
