Job summary

Town of Colchester is seeking an experienced Mechanic II with advanced knowledge of equipment maintenance, diagnostics and repair, including heavy equipment, emergency service vehicles and small engines.

Starting pay ranges from $63,877.06 to $76,268.00 per year with a comprehensive benefits package. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 7AM–3PM with occasional overtime. A valid CDL is required and applicants should have at least eight years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of related experience.
• Ability to diagnose problems to determine correct repair.
• Maintain accurate parts and labor records.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License required.

Colchester's Dept. of Public Works has a full-time opportunity for an experienced Mechanic II with advanced knowledge of equipment maintenance, diagnostics and repair, to include heavy equipment, emergency service vehicles and small engine repair of gasoline and diesel-powered engines.

Successful applicants will have a minimum of eight years of related experience, the ability to diagnose specific problems to determine the correct repair, and maintain accurate parts and labor records. A valid Commercial Driver’s License is required.

Town provides all tools required to perform the job.
