Job summary

Polk County is seeking a journeyman level technician to perform maintenance and repairs on automotive, emergency, and road maintenance vehicles and equipment. The role runs Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and requires a valid Oregon driver’s license and eventual Oregon Class A CDL within six months.

ABOUT THE JOB

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school or successful completion of the equivalent GED. Four years of journey level experience in the repair, modification, and maintenance of light and heavy equipment and vehicles; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

REQUIRED SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Possession of a valid Oregon driver's license upon appointment.
• Must obtain an Oregon Class A CDL within 6 months of employment.
