Basin Disposal Inc. in Pasco, WA is seeking a Mechanic I to perform scheduled preventative maintenance and develop repair skills under the supervision of the Maintenance Lead or Maintenance Manager.

The role supports on-site and field work with a team that values decades of experience. The position offers growth opportunities in mechanical maintenance, with responsibilities spanning diagnostics, lubrication, and basic repairs on diesel systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe operation of all equipment from the truck line to the shop and safely operate hydraulic components around employees.
• Grease all vehicles per the maintenance schedule.
• Perform oil and filter changes based on PM schedule.
• Take oil samples on vehicles and complete required paperwork for oil sample submission.
• Top off fluids and complete DVIRs; return DVIRs to driver boxes for signature.
• Maintain oil levels in CNG compressors; inspect shop vehicles weekly.
• Keep the shop clean and orderly; document and complete repair orders.
