Job summary

Basin Disposal, Inc. in Pasco, WA, is hiring a Mechanic I to perform preventative maintenance and repairs both at the facility and in the field with our Pasco crew. This entry-level role reports to the Maintenance Lead/Manager and offers growth opportunities within a team with extensive experience.

The position is on-site (Pasco), with occasional support in nearby areas. Shifts are Swing, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and pay ranges from $22.39 to $26.59 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on fleet and field equipment.
• Learn and develop repair skills under supervision.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• Complete DVIR repairs and paperwork, ensuring safety compliance.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly shop/work environment.
