Job description

Job Details

Makes periodic inspections of and maintains all equipment associated with supplying safety lighting, plumbing, heating and ventilation, air conditioning, control systems, and other related systems.

Job Description

  1. Perform checks and log all mechanical area equipment.
  2. Handle maintenance requests from the main office.
  3. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  4. Test and operate emergency generators in coordination with electricians.
  5. Maintain and repair distribution systems, including vacuum, medical air, medical gas systems, and air compressors.
  6. Maintain and repair pneumatic equipment in engine rooms, such as hot water converters, thermostats, induction units, sump pumps, and related piping.
  7. Perform minor electrical work, including disconnecting motor leads, resetting breakers, and replacing lights.
  8. Change air filters in large air handling units and perform cleaning and painting in mechanical areas.
  9. Conduct minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing valves, washers, O-rings, clearing stoppages, and repairing leaks. Also, clean condensers on chillers, water towers, and air handling unit coils.

Educational/Training Requirements: High School diploma or GED required; Technical School preferred.
