The position of Mechanic I - Certified works under the direction of the Distribution Area Supervisor and the General Services Supervisor to perform skilled mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of District vehicles. The position is responsible for diagnosing malfunctions, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to ensure safe operating condition, maintaining tools and equipment, and performing related work as assigned. The position works under general supervisions according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks.
