Job summary

The Mechanic I performs skilled maintenance activities to support the mission of the Fleet Maintenance Division and assists the Fleet Superintendent and Assistant Fleet Superintendent in repair and maintenance of the Town’s Fleet in accordance with established policies and regulations, industry best practices, operations manuals, and manufacturers’ specifications.

This is a non-exempt hourly position in the Town’s government operations.

Qualifications

• Maintenance work on the Town’s Fleet according to policies, regulations and manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fleet Superintendent with repair and maintenance tasks per manuals and specifications.
