Lancaster County Economic Development seeks a maintenance technician to configure new vehicles and equipment, and to assist with services, maintenance and repairs on county motorized assets. The role ensures all vehicles remain in proper working order and participates in preventative maintenance programs.
Under regular supervision, you will follow directions from the Fleet Manager and Shop Foreman, who coordinate and monitor work assignments to maintain fleet readiness and reduce downtime.
Under regular supervision, configures new vehicles and equipment. Also, assists with tasks involving services, maintenance and repairs to County vehicles and other motorized equipment including, trailers, etc. ensuring proper working order. Performs preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment. This class receives direction and leadership from the Fleet Manager and Shop Foreman who coordinates, assigns, and monitors work assignments.

Minimum Qualification(s) Required. Any combination of training, education, or experience equivalent to two years’ experience in automotive repair or new vehicle preparation, which includes at least one year experience in the service and installation of motorized equipment.
Preferred/Desirable Qualification(s). Graduation from high school or GED is preferred.
