Job summary

Lancaster County Economic Development seeks a maintenance technician to configure new vehicles and equipment, and to assist with services, maintenance and repairs on county motorized assets. The role ensures all vehicles remain in proper working order and participates in preventative maintenance programs.

Under regular supervision, you will follow directions from the Fleet Manager and Shop Foreman, who coordinate and monitor work assignments to maintain fleet readiness and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

  • Two years' experience in automotive repair or new vehicle preparation.
  • Graduation from high school or GED is preferred.

  • Configure new vehicles and equipment under supervision.
  • Perform services, maintenance and repairs to county vehicles and motorized equipment including trailers.
  • Ensure proper working order and conduct preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment.

Typical Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s) Required. Any combination of training, education, or experience equivalent to two years’ experience in automotive repair or new vehicle preparation, which includes at least one year experience in the service and installation of motorized equipment.

Preferred/Desirable Qualification(s). Graduation from high school or GED is preferred.
