Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in automobile, small engine, or heavy equipment repair.

• Preference for MNDOT and Forklift certifications.

Job description

Northfield

This position is responsible for repairs, rebuilds, and or overhauls of major assemblies of internal combustion and diesel automobiles, trucks, tractors, heavy and light equipment. This position also operates equipment and performs duties involving the repair and maintenance of streets, parks and park equipment, trails and public spaces, storm sewers and storm water ponds as necessary.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•ASE certifications required, prefer NATEF/ASE Certified Master Technician.
•Two to three years’ experience in automobile, small engine and/or heavy equipment repair.
•An excellent driving record.
•Possession of or ability to obtain a valid State of Minnesota Commercial Driver’s License within six months of hire.
•Basic Word and Excel computer skills.
•Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Preference given to those holding MNDOT and Forklift certifications.
