Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking experienced HVAC mechanics for our Hampton Roads Special Projects team in Newport News, VA. Join a company with 50+ years of service and develop your skills on commercial installations and retrofits.

You will install and retrofit rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, chillers, and control systems while upholding OSHA safety standards and delivering exceptional customer service. Valid HVAC license or equivalent experience is required; EPA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• HVAC Journeyman license or equivalent experience
• Universal EPA certification (preferred, but not required)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
• Must be able to work independently and without supervision
• Must have a clean driving record and pass a drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

• Install, replace and retrofit HVAC equipment, sheet metal products, and ductwork for commercial projects
• Install and retrofit rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pneumatic and electrical control systems
• Maintain safety and meet project timelines while coordinating with site teams
