Job summary

CM Tucker Lumber Companies is looking for a talented Mechanic to join our growing company. You will be responsible for inspecting company vehicles, diagnosing problems with the engine or other systems, perform routine maintenance, and complete necessary repairs.

Candidates with more than one year of mechanic experience are preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Mechanic Duties include preventative maintenance, light repairs on trucks, trailers, and forklifts, and following

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Physical strength and stamina; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and diagnose engine or systems problems.
• Perform routine maintenance and light repairs on trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
• Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems.
• Repair or replace worn parts and systems such as spark plugs, wheel bearings, brakes, fuel systems, and sensors.
• Ensure safe practices at all times.
