Job description

Pridestaff is currently seeking a Mechanic Helper / Greaser for a manufacturing company located in Ontario, CA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with potential for growth. Please see the job requirements below to be considered.

• Pay: $20 to $21.00
• Shift: Monday - Friday, 5am to 1:30pm (must be able to work Saturday when needed and stay until 2pm to 2:30pm in case of overtime)

SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Manager or Supervisor, the incumbent performs a variety of preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, and light mechanic activities to ensure machines are lubricated/greased and functioning properly. May use lubricants, hand, and power tools to accomplish work tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge of:
   1. Machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
   2. Measurement tools, including tape measures and calipers
2. Ability to:
   1. Problem sensitivity - the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
   2. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• At least 6 months of production or manufacturing experience or similar industry highly preferred.
• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to use a tape measure
• Ability to use precision measurement tools highly preferred
• Willingness to submit to an oral drug test (excluding marijuana) and criminal background check prior to start.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $21.00 Per Hour
