Waltonen Engineering, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain defense vehicles and heavy equipment. The role requires experience with engines, strong manual skills, and the ability to work with standard tools and hoists.

The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and collaboration with the Project Manager to meet schedules. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain security clearance; a valid driver's license and English proficiency are

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years as a mechanic, working with engines and heavy equipment.
• Must be physically able to stand for maintenance tasks.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Operate and inspect machines and equipment to diagnose defects and maintenance needs.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment efficiently and correctly.
• Use hoists and a variety of hand tools for repairs and maintenance.
• Inspect parts for damage and determine necessary adjustments or replacements.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure timely task completion and adherence to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect various machines and equipment, including defense vehicles, to diagnose defects and identify maintenance needs
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment efficiently, ensuring proper functioning
• Use hoists and a variety of hand tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
• Thoroughly examine parts for damage, wear, or other issues, making necessary adjustments or replacements for document catalog
• Collaborate with Project Manager to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and adherence to project schedules

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of work experience as a mechanic, specifically working withengines and heavy equipment, is required
• Must possess the physical stamina to perform maintenance tasks while standing for extended periods
• A valid driver’s license is required, along with fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Knowledge of PCs, including proficiency with Microsoft Office software products
• Only United States citizens can be considered for this position
• Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with military vehicles is a plus
• Familiarity with tactical wheelor tract vehicle experience
• Automotive or defense mechanical experience is a plus
