Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support our Lincoln sawmill in Lincoln, California. The role centers on maintaining diesel and heavy equipment, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and timely service.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot defects, and inspect equipment across the site while adhering to safety protocols and company standards. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 2 years' diesel/heavy equipment mechanic experience required.
• Working knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems required.
• Proven prior experience working on various machines including the above mentioned equipment.
• All applicants must be at least age 18.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on diesel/heavy equipment including front‑end loaders, forklifts, and excavators.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical defects.
• Conduct safety inspections of equipment and maintain maintenance records.
• Operate the listed equipment.
• Perform duties in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain work area appearance and safety.

Currently, we are seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to work collaboratively with our sawmill in Lincoln, California.

About The Position

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on diesel/heavy equipment including front‑end loaders, forklifts, and excavators
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical defects
• Conduct safety inspections of equipment and maintain maintenance records
• Operate above mentioned equipment
• Perform duties in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain work area appearance and safety
• Work may consist of various shifts, with some overtime, weekend and holiday work during busy production times
