Job summary

Canada's Wonderland is seeking a full-time, year-round rides maintenance technician. The role requires hands-on work inspecting and rehabbing rides, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping detailed maintenance logs.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues while working outdoors in variable conditions. The position demands ability to climb, lift up to 100 lbs, and operate a range of hand and power tools; English literacy is required, and a valid driver's license is

Qualifications

• Two or more trades knowledge: mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, carpentry, welding, or small engines.
• Ability to troubleshoot clearly, calmly, and safely around guests and team members.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work with various mechanical devices.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Physical and mental capacity to work at heights up to 150 ft., outdoors in extreme temperatures, and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must have own tools and a valid driver's license.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of assigned rides and attractions.
• Perform rehab work on theme park rides and attractions.
• Maintain, erect, repair and troubleshoot various theme park rides and attractions.
• Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
• Remove and/or replace worn or defective parts using hand and/or power tools.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on various equipment including rides and attractions.
• Keep a daily duty log of maintenance work and records of preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform visual inspections of assigned rides and attractions
• Perform rehab work on theme park rides and attractions

Qualifications:

• Should possess practical skill and proficient knowledge in two or more trades, such as: mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry, welding and small combustion engine repair and maintenance
• Must be able to trouble-shoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of Guests and fellow Team Members
• Should have strong mechanical, electrical & hydraulic experience
• Must possess strong safety sensitivity & ability to work with many different types of mechanical devises
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including climbing and working at heights up to and in excess of 150ft., crawling and working in confined spaces and lifting up to 100 lbs. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures. Must possess the physical dexterity to operate hand tools and motor vehicles
• Must have tools and equipment to perform required duties and tasks as assigned
• Must possess a valid Driver's License
• Must be 18 years or older
