Job summary

TForce Freight is seeking a full-time Fleet Mechanic to perform maintenance on company vehicles, including tractors and trailers, ensuring reliability and safety. No CDL required, but hands-on expertise with diesel engines and electrical systems is essential.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and executing both minor and complex repairs. Must possess a complete tool set and adhere to FMCSA regulations while maintaining a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Proficient operating standard transmission vehicles
• Fleet diesel and gas experience or trade school training
• Understanding of FMCSA requirements and able to pass an annual PM certification
• Safely perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
• Must have a complete set of hand tools
• Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system and mechanisms of a diesel engine
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
• Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
