Job summary

Chris Burkey Plumbing | Negley is seeking an experienced mechanic to manage vehicle repairs, maintenance, and fleet management for our operations. The role requires strong diagnostic skills and the ability to handle both vehicle and select non-vehicle repairs.

The position is 40 hours per week with a 6am start time. You should bring your toolbox and be prepared to source and stock essential shop supplies. Ford and Chevy utility vehicles are common in our fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose issues across diverse vehicles.
• Experience with managing small shop tasks and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire changes, balancing, and alignment work.
• Conduct brakes/rotor service and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Order and stock shop supplies (oil, antifreeze, wipers, etc).
• Perform engine and transmission work as needed.
• Address rear-end and other driveline repairs.
• Non-vehicle repairs include generator and small engine repairs, and tool maintenance.

Looking for an experienced mechanic for our company to manage vehicle repairs, maintenance, and general fleet managing.

40 hours a week, flexible on what days, but start time is 6am.

Pay varies by years of experience. Experience is required.

Job includes but is not limited to:

• Oil changes

• Changing tires

• Balancing tires

• Front end alignments

• Brakes and rotors

• Basic vehicle maintenance

• Ordering necessary items needed to keep shop stocked (oil, antifreeze, windshield wipers, etc)

• Changing engines

• Changing transmissions

• Rear ends

Non-Vehicle repairs also can include:

• Generator repairs

• Power vises

• Repairs on small engines

• Light electrical tool repairs

• Air compressors

Vehicle types include mainly Ford and Chevy utility vehicles and trucks.

This position requires strong diagnostic skills, and light fabricating.

Tool box and hand tools would be required for you to bring, we supply many tools including but not limited to:

• Two-post lifts

• Tire balancer

• Tire mounting machine

• Front end alignment machine

• Scan tool

• Air compressor

• Torches
