TenCate Protective Fabrics seeks an Electrician/Mechanic to maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in our facilities. You will install, repair, and service machinery and mechanical components to keep operations running smoothly.
The role requires hands-on technical skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work in a manufacturing setting with noisy, hazardous environments. You will join a team focused on reliability and quality in a dynamic production environment.
Electrician / Mechanic is responsible for maintainingelectrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in the buildings. This employee will also install, repair, and maintainmachines andmechanicalcomponents.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
This job operates in amanufacturingenvironment androutinely uses highly specialized equipment.Theemployeeis frequently exposed to noise, dust, and electrical current. The employee is subject to hazards which include a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, working on scaffolds and high places,requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and non-skid shoes.The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions with extreme cold or heat, depending on the time of year.
While performing the duties of this job, the candidate must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination to work on electrical and mechanical equipment; have vision sufficient to perform maintenance; have hearing in the normal range with or without correction. In an 8-hour shift must be able to transport self across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, climb and work off of a ladder; use arms and back to tighten and loosen nuts and bolts; work in confined spaces and wear and use appropriate safety equipment.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. Weekends and overtime may be required as job duties demand.
Little to no travel is expected for this position.
