Job Summary: As a mechanic, your focus will be to ensure that all equipment and vehicles are ready and working as needed through proper completion of repairs and maintenance. You'll accomplish this by communicating and coordinating major repairs and maintenance with Managers, as well as listening to specialists and reading Vehicle Inspection Reports and prioritizing your work. You'll be responsible for ordering and receiving parts and supplies, as well as the proper completion of paperwork for the office and vendors. Whenever possible, you'll train field specialists on equipment maintenance and vehicle operations. You'll do it all while maintaining a safe and orderly work environment in the Shop and in the Yard.
This position also involves working with the tree crews on clients' properties, providing assistance as needed. Responsibilities include: tree trimming, removal, assisting climbers with ropes, taking brush to the woodchipper, and operating the stump grinder.
Additional Details: The role requires all aspects of pruning, removals, cable bracing, and other tree care concepts. Team members must operate equipment safely and provide excellent service to clients.
Qualifications: Desire for job stability, small engine repair experience, two-stroke and diesel engine repair knowledge, experience with aerial lifts, spray equipment, and basic tools. Ability to read manuals and diagnostic charts, knowledge of pruning practices, tree and shrub species, and safety standards. Valid Driver's license required; CDL preferred. ASE certification is a plus. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
