Hunter Search Global, LLC is seeking a dependable Tool Room Assistant in Schaumburg, IL to support tooling, dies, and fixtures in a metal stamping environment. You will work with toolmakers to maintain, assemble, and repair tooling components, and help keep the tool room organized and safe.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist toolmakers with the assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and repair of stamping dies and tooling.
• Clean, inspect, organize, and prepare dies, punches, inserts, fixtures, and tooling components.
• Assist with die changes and tooling preparation for production.
• Retrieve, stage, and return tooling and materials as needed.
• Use hand tools and basic shop equipment safely.
• Perform basic grinding, deburring, polishing, and fitting operations.
• Assist with measuring and inspecting tooling components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
• Help maintain accurate records and proper identification of tooling and components.
• Keep the tool room and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with inventory of tooling, spare parts, and shop supplies.
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and work instructions.
• Support toolmakers, maintenance personnel, and production as needed.
